Pontiac isn’t just my hometown, it’s in my DNA. Born and raised right here on Pontiac’s east side, my family’s history spans seven proud generations dedicated to this community. From my parents, Sherman Threlkeld and Janet Gracey, I learned firsthand the value of compassion, hard work, and neighbors supporting one another through good times and tough moments alike.
Today, my greatest inspiration comes from my family—my wife, our four sons, daughter, and six incredible grandchildren. Their future fuels my passion to make Pontiac stronger, safer, and more vibrant. My family’s journey is deeply intertwined with yours, and together, we can ensure a prosperous legacy for generations to come.
For over two decades, I’ve proudly served Pontiac, first as a dedicated member of the Pontiac Police Department and later as part of the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. As a Crime Scene Investigator, I fought tirelessly to bring justice to local families, solving major cases and standing by residents in their toughest times.
But service didn’t stop there. I spearheaded community policing initiatives to clean up neighborhoods, fought blight head-on, supported essential resources for homeless residents, and nurtured impactful youth mentorship programs. These experiences taught me a fundamental truth: lasting change happens only when leaders roll up their sleeves, listen to residents, and solve problems side by side. I promise to always bring that collaborative spirit to City Council.
Pontiac deserves leadership that listens, acts decisively, and delivers meaningful results. My vision is guided by the P.O.N.T.I.A.C. Promise: prioritizing Public Safety, expanding Opportunities, nurturing vibrant Neighborhoods, providing meaningful Training, promoting genuine Inclusion, ensuring transparent Accountability, and fostering true Collaboration.
